Jalan Crossland weathers Songwriters Festival
Torrential downpours caused temporary flooding but didn’t dampen the spirits of the songwriters or festival goers at the 2013 Key West Songwriters Festival. It was an often rainy week, but none of Jalan’s shows were cancelled. Not to say there weren’t weather issues.
On Thursday patrons braved ankle deep rain water in the brick courtyard at Smokin’ Tuna Saloon to find safe haven in the detached, but covered, cabanna/bar for the venue’s opening show of the week.
The weather cleared up after that and the festival continued on. Here’s a photo of the dock on the Atlantic where our pal Dana lives. Jalan spent the first morning in the Keys on the dock rehearsing for the upcoming shows.
